Shafer talks party cohesion following Trump Endorsement for re-election

News, Politics
Shafer

Endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Georgia GOP Chair David Shafer is running for re-election for Chair. After his official announcement to run for re-election, he faces challenges in the party to keeping the party cohesive and united in the coming elections.

With some Republicans already calling for a GOP 2.0 separation among Republican supporters, Shafer said he got a mix of good and bad news from the recent election process. Growth in the party is obvious, but breakdowns in the election came as Shafer said changes were made “outside of the law” by the State Elections Board and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

The vast increase in absentee ballots coupled with a failure in verifications was just a surface issue as Shafer stated the offices were obviously overwhelmed. On top of that, he pointed out the refusals to allow poll watchers easy access, sometimes making them stand as much as 50 feet away when they were allowed to watch.

Unmanned drop boxes and rampant ballot harvesting were part of the massive issues in the election according to Shafer.

Yet, he is looking forward and trying to bring people in the party back together in forward motion to retake the safety and security of the elections.

Raffensperger blamed Shafer for issues saying he was responsible for exact match signatures. Shafer responded saying it was absurd as Raffensperger changed laws entering into a consent agreement without consulting the Republican Party. The betrayal in March showed his Democratic Party affiliation.

Shafer said Raffensperger made it so much harder to throw out non-matching ballots and the change in laws were unilaterally altered from the laws he voted on.

An example of some of the unrest in the party, Shafer agreed that 2022 could be difficult as he has already heard several county chairman in the Republican Party not running for re-election because they are wanting to contest races in the state. As a leader of the State GOP, he hasn’t called for Raffensperger’s resignation, but he has been a part of several lawsuits trying to, as he says, “make sure the laws are carried out.”

In one final question, when asked about any possibility to see him on the ballot in major offices in 2022, he replied that he felt his best place to be helpful is continuing as the State Chairman.

Shafer said, “The real danger to this country is posed by the Democrats. We have got to pull everyone back together and defeat Raphael Warnock in 2022 and preserve our Republican majority so the Democrats don’t do to Georgia what they are currently doing to America.”

Georgia Republican Party’s Election Confidence Task Force issues report

Politics
ATLANTA – The Georgia Republican Party’s Election Confidence Task Force, appointed by State Chairman David Shafer and led by Atlanta attorney Brad Carver, has released its reported recommendations with the unanimous approval of the State Executive Committee.

Among the proposals in the report:

  • Requiring photo ID verification for all absentee ballot applications and ballots, ending the legally compromised system of signature verification, to combat ballot harvesting and absentee ballot fraud.
  • Allowing observers at each step of the process, including ballot verification and duplication, with meaningful access, not the sham access allowed under the Secretary of State’s official election bulletins.
  • Allowing videotaping of all election activity except voters casting their ballots.
  • Eliminating unmanned ballot drop boxes (or, alternatively, mandating a strict chain of custody procedure) to combat supposedly ballot harvesting and absentee ballot fraud.
  • Removing no-excuse absentee by-mail voting, allowing absentee ballots only for voters who have a specific reason. Current Georgia law is more liberal than New York law.
  • Eliminating third-party and government solicitation of absentee ballot applications. The myriad of solicitations created voter confusion and opens the door to illegal ballot harvesting and fraud.
  • Making “Motor Voter” voter registration at drivers license offices opt-in, rather than automatic, to reduce the number of ineligible voters accidentally added to the voter registration list.
  • Requiring any organization registering voters to first register with the Secretary of State who will maintain a public list of registered organizations and the number of registrations each organization has collected.
  • Replacing all Dominion software with auditable and transparent software.
  • Enacting revolving door ethics restrictions on Secretary of State employees.
  • Prohibiting so-called mobile voting locations, except in the case of a natural disaster. (Mobile voting locations – vans driven around by Fulton County elections workers with bullhorns – are not authorized by the current Georgia Election Code and an open invitation for fraud.)
  • Requiring all third party election grants to be made to the State Elections Board for uniform distribution throughout the state.
  • Streamlining the process for election contests and giving the Supreme Court original jurisdiction over Presidential election contests.
  • Streamlining the process for voter challenges. County elections boards groundlessly ignored or rejected challenges with impunity.
  • Giving the State Board of Elections the power to temporarily appoint county elections superintendents in the event of incompetence or repeated violations of the Election Code.

Chairman David Shafer: “An unlawfully cast vote cancels out a lawful vote and suppresses a lawful voter as thoroughly as if that voter was physically barred from the polls. Every legal vote should be counted and every illegal vote rejected. All votes should be counted in the open and in accordance with law.”

Why Republicans Are Losing Their Message

Opinion, Politics

Written And Submitted By: George McClellan

Do you remember the GOP’s last Speaker of the House Paul Ryan? He, and other RiNO’s like him, are the reason why Conservatism and the GOP is losing arguments in the field of political persuasion. Ryan said it was time for Trump to “move on from his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden.”  Why does Ryan want to gaff off so serious an attack against our electoral process? Is it so the Deep State Establishment can continue to survive?

In remarks to a Bank of America virtual European Credit Conference, Ryan urged an end to ‘speculation’ over ‘alleged’ widespread voter fraud. Why? He said a peaceful transfer of power will be the healthiest move for the country. Sure it would, just like the peaceful transfer of power Democrats lavished on Donald Trump. Of course, Ryan’s opinion is complete nonsense because the ‘speculation’ he derides is supported by enough facts as to make the theft of this election more than probable. The “their’s no evidence” cacophony from the media is like Juan Williams on the “Five” shouting simply to wear ’em down. Ignore them!

Ryan complained that “These legal challenges to the outcome and the attacks on our voting system really need to stop! The outcome will not be changed, and it will only serve to undermine our faith in our system of government, our faith in our democracy.”  What Ryan misses of course is, if the national election process isn’t corrected, people will simply no longer participate. The criminal Democrat party would welcome that very outcome. This election must be challenged!

Taking Hillary Clinton’s advice, Trump has not conceded. Litigation underway in several key battleground states may actually restore the balance and that will drive the Left nuts. Ryan added: “a peaceful transfer of power is needed to uphold the country’s democratic institutions.”  Well, now it’s those “democratic” Institutions that need to be torn down, isn’t it?

Further, Ryan said: “The election is over. The outcome is certain; I think it’s really important that we respect that, (Why?) We respect the will of the people, and if we don’t, we end up doing damage to our country, to our democratic institutions and norms and to the cause of freedom.” If Ryan truly believes that, he’s a dim bulb indeed. The damage is done and will continue until fair and honest elections are conducted; elections that require a photo ID, on election day.

Ryan said he understood:“the disappointment of losing a national election, adding that Trump voters should not buy into what the president’s legal team is saying about voter fraud. (Why?)I know there are a lot of people in this country who are really disappointed. But I think it’s really important that we’re clear about this, which is the mere fact that the president’s lawyers throw these sort of baseless conspiracy theories out at press conferences but offer no evidence of these in court tells you that there is not the kind of widespread voter fraud or systemic voter fraud that would be required to overturn the outcome of this election.”  Clearly, the conspiracy suspicions are not baseless as Ryan wants us to accept. Didn’t the FBI, DoJ, CIA and DNI’s, top officials criminally conspired to bring down Donald Trump? Was that baseless? Its on record.

Ryan doesn’t like Trump because Trumps is not one of them. Ryan, a swamp creature, trashed Trump to Tim Alberta, editor of the Politico, for his book American Carnage. Ryan accused Trump of not knowing how to govern. “I’m telling you, he didn’t know anything about government … I wanted to scold him all the time,”  Trumps four years of unprecedented economic, social and foreign policy success tells a different story. Ryan and the others like him will plot like a cancer, against conservative Republican success. We know where to look, we need to take action.

Run-off candidates make final plea at Union GOP headquarters opening

Featured, Featured News, Featured Stories
Union GOP Headquarters

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga – Union County GOP celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in the Graystone Building with several Republican 2020 candidates in attendance.

State Senator Steve Gooch, Georgia District 8 Representative and Congressional District Nine run-off candidate Matt Gurtler, Congressional District Nine run-off candidate Andrew Clyde, Congressman Doug Collins’ daughter Jordan Collins, along with other Collins’ campaign representatives, State Senator John Wilkinson, and Public Service District Four Commissioner Lauren “Bubba” McDonald were all in attendance.

“Great to be out here today, only a few more days to go to the election. It’s great to see so many people out here,” stated Rep. Gurtler. “I appreciate everybody’s support, get out there, and vote on Tuesday.”

He added that around 40,000 people have already voted in the Ninth District, and they expect another 40,000 on Tuesday.

Gurtler’s competition Andrew Clyde arrived at the event a little later. Fetch Your News spoke with him about his feelings leading up to Tuesday’s run-off.

Gurtler kept it brief and asked for support on Tuesday.

“We’re excited. We think we’re going to win. We think it’s going to be a tight race. We may not have results based on absentee ballots, so it depends on when they actually count them,” Clyde said.

The larger counties, such as Hall and Forsyth, took longer to finalize results in the Georgia Primary. The potential delay could delay a presumptive winner announcement.

When asked about “China Clyde” and democratic donor attack ads, Clyde responded, “It’s all false. Just like all the others, they say fact one, fact two, fact three, it should say lie one, lie two, lie three… I think they say, ‘spends $54,000 to defeat President Trump,’ and they cite a contribution to Republican Candidate Ted Cruz in the Primary.”

In the 2016 primary, Clyde supported Cruz like 40,000 others in the Ninth District.

“Ted Cruz didn’t win. President Trump did. He got the nomination, and so we coalesce around our nominee,” Clyde affirmed. “We support him, and I have supported him since he became the nominee.”

Clyde added that bought and made Trump 2020 signs himself. To his knowledge, he was the first person in the state of Georgia to put up Trump reelection signage.

As for Super-PACs spending money in the Ninth District, Clyde made a definitive statement, “They’re trying to convince Georgian’s what to do. I don’t need them. I don’t think the Ninth District needs them. I just need the Ninth District.”

Pictured on Left Public Service Commissioner Bubba McDonald and Right Ninth District Candidate Andrew Clyde.

Super-PAC Club for Growth has endorsed the Gurtler campaign and produced several anti-Clyde advertisements.

From now until November, the new headquarters on Hwy. 515 will offer information about Republican candidates running for office. Additionally, it features a party store where people can pick up, Trump campaign merchandise, masks, hats, flags, t-shirts, and more. Prices range from $20 to $5. Candidate signs and bumper stickers will also be available.

“Everybody ready to get this Trump rally started this Fall?” asked State Senator Gooch to a round of applause and shouts. He continued by focusing on party unity, which will be necessary after Tuesday’s August 11 run-off.

“We work for victory in November. We’ve got a job to do, not just for Union County or the Ninth Congressional

District, but all over the state of Georgia. The Liberal Democrats are trying to take back control of the house and the senate in our General Assembly…We cannot let that happen. We’ve got to work together. We’ve got to move forward as a family after Tuesday night,” expressed Gooch.

He added that the Democrat party of Governor Zell Miller no longer exists because the Liberals hijacked it.

State Senator Gooch started the process of reconciliation after an intense primary and run-off season.

“We need to fight this year, fight stronger than we’ve ever fought,” Gooch ended.

Union County GOP President Dena Gooch explained that they were looking for a place when Blairsville local Frank Pack offered the space. A lot of work went into preparing the office for GOP use, including a new coat of paint and good old fashioned elbow grease.

As for upcoming Republican Party events, Towns County GOP will be having another Trump Armada on August 29. On September 26, Towns GOP will be hosting a Back the Blue Appreciation Ceremony and Caravan. They will travel from Towns County to Union County, and anyone can join.

Gilmer County Republican Party 2019 County Convention

Election, Politics

Ellijay, GA. – The Gilmer County Republican Party met on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Gilmer County Courthouse to hold their Precinct Mass Meetings and County Convention. According to County Convention Chairman Stephen Aaron, who was previously appointed such by Chairman Richie Stone, the Precinct Mass Meetings and County Convention is held once every two years, making the next County Convention take place in the year 2021. According to Carol Bollinger, precinct chairman of the Yukon precinct, the turnout could have been better, but cites that the Conventions have generally been held on a Tuesday, and has just in recent years been changed to take place on Saturday.

Part one of the convention, the Precinct Mass Meetings, started at 9 a.m. with the 13 precincts that make up Gilmer County voting for delegates for part two of the meeting (the County Convention), as well as precinct secretary and chairman. According to the Gilmer County Republican Party website, “Each precinct has a certain number of delegates based on its votes in the 2016 Presidential election. Generally, however, there are enough delegate slots such that all the participants can be delegates to the County Convention.”

During this meeting, the delegates elected officers for the county Republican party for the next 2 years, as well as delegates and alternates for the District and State conventions to come.

The first act of business was County Convention Chairman Stephen Aaron nominating Larry Lynch to be parliamentarian, though this statement was revoked with Stephen Aaron requesting nominations for Convention Secretary. Sally Forest was nominated and elected uncontested. Larry Lynch was then nominated by Stephen Aaron, with Sheriff Stacy Nicholson being appointed Sergeant at Arms.

During the Preliminary Report from the Credentials Committee, the Ellijay South precinct was reported to have 27 delegates with seven present. Cartecay had 18 delegates with four present. There were 11 slots for the Delegates for the State Convention to come, with two alternates. Gary Engel was then nominated as an alternate, and all were elected uncontested.

Recognition of Glenda Sue Johnson.

During Resolutions from the Resolutions Committee, Glenda Sue Johnson, Clerk of Superior Court for over 34 and 1/2 years, was recognized during the convention for her outstanding public service to Gilmer County, as well as the Republican Party. No other resolutions were made.

Up next is the District Convention on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Dillard, GA, in which 17 people from the 9th District of Georgia will be elected to serve on the Georgia State Republican committee, or the statewide body which acts for the party between conventions. After that will be the State Convention on May 17-18, 2019 in Savannah, GA. There are registration costs for both the District and State Conventions.

Kasich’s Attacks Continue

Opinion

A perennial GOP wanna-be presidential hopeful, John Kasich tells us: “Every day there is chaos coming
out of Washington and the Trump White House. It’s diminishing our American values, threatening our
international alliances and resulting in few policy accomplishments for the American people. Enough is
enough. It’s time for us all – as Americans to put aside the party politics and work together to face our
greatest challenges.”

I want to try to decipher what the estimable John Kasich thinks he means: First, “chaos” is a word which,
in its negative connotation, basically describes the violent collapse of societies. Now, only the Democrats
are in a state of violent hysterical collapse. But, once started, lurking within its violence, old scores are
settled, revenge meted out, hatreds revealed and destruction of property becomes the rule of the day.
Actually, Chaos is anarchy as Kasich sees it but we’re not there yet, except Portland and Baltimore.

Chaos is part of the necessary cleansing feature when societies attempt to reestablish order and
authority. I didn’t say ‘lawful order’ because as we learned from Lenin’s Bolshevik revolution that
overthrew Czarist Russia and the National Socialists that suborned then lawfully displace the decrepit
Weirder Republic of post WW1 Germany, we see two examples of Socialism’s chaotic roadmap to
achieve leadership by tyranny. Excuses for these revolutions will vary.

Kasich say’s the “chaos” comes out of Washington and the White House. Washington is a broad brush
word that covers a multitude of sins but, by saying ‘White House,’ he directly means president Trump.
Kasich hates President Trump because of Trumps accomplishes and, he’s mean. By Trump’s frontal
attacks against the open enemies of American, the socialist embedded within the Democrat party and the
their policies that fail the test of Constitutionalism, reveals the real chaos Kasich talks about. Trump has
been a huge success. John Kasich, nor any other Republican, could never do that. Kasich is part of the
problem, a uni-party deep-state advocate.

John K. believes the ‘chaos’ he mentions is “diminishing our American values.” Well, what are those
American values he envisions? I don’t know but, clearly the voters who put Trump in office wanted a
restoration of our liberties, and a reduction of Obama’s onerous and economically regulation state that
nearly crushed American progress under the heels of totalitarian incompetency where nothing works but
government. Trump has done that!

John also said: Trump “was threatening our international alliances resulting in few policy
accomplishments by the American people.” First, what foreign policy accomplishment did Obama make?
Actually, there’s not enough space left here to list Trump’s accomplishments. In only two years he has
eliminated NAFTA and the TPP, challenged China’s economic espionage, confronted our disjointed
immigration polices, and did so by using means that remain mysteries to the likes of politicians like John
Kasich. John wants us to “put aside party politics (and) work together to face our greatest challenges.”
That’s an easy one. As I see it, we have two competing policies, one of good and one of evil. What John
means here is “bipartisanship” by which definition Democrats means we capitulate to them, always.

What are our “greatest challenges?” Well, people like Kasich is a good example of a pitiful challenge, but
restoring America constitutionalism, the rule of law, removing the corruptive issues of big money, re-
establishing trust in the election process and cleansing out the RiNO’s still sucking the life blood out of the
party is really our biggest challenge, John doesn’t think so. He wants to save it.

Locally, here in my county in Georgia’s 9th congressional district, my sources tell me of troubles in our
once solid Republican party. “The recent meetings of the local GOP, he said, reflect the disunity of the
Republican party nationally, with internal accusations of who’s doing the most to support our elections,
etc.  They’re the same few folks at the party meeting (locally)…maybe 10 of the old guard…while the local
Democratic party is growing and seems enthusiastic. I have no doubt that Georgia will be “blue” after the next state-wide elections, even without the current vote maneuvering.” Continuing, he said: “Someone
mentioned a while back that the Republican lawmakers really don’t care who controls the legislative
branches of government; they each have their funding sources and will play to those interests to keep
their positions….or if they have enough time in service, will retire and become a lobbyist.” And that my friends highlights our biggest problem. We have too many professional politicians, citizens who made
promises to get elected, then succumbed to the corrupted call of easy money to join the ranks of the
disciples of the “deep state.”

Politics should not be a career profession and John Kasich, in his pleading diatribe against Donald Trump
should realize that and go run a lawn and garden center somewhere where manure speak is understood
and acceptable. In the end, John Kasich is a “squabbler” not a fighter. He can’t compare with Trump in
real competition with America’s enemies or match Trump’s accomplishments.

Finally, this from a fan in Nevada: “Damn Republicans want to be known as “gentlemen” and have no
balls. When ignorant idiots like Crooked Hillary, Pelosi, Chuckie, and of course, Maxine Waters make
stupid statements the RNC should run commercials non-stop showing how truly ignorant and out of touch
with reality they are. But the RNC, which is always chaired by a spineless jerk will never do so as they
have no guts to do so. Fight fire with fire I say. Will never happen.”

President Harry Truman said: “Give it to them hard and straight and they’ll remember you!”
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (01Sec18)

Dalton GOP Sen. Payne Faces Primary Challenger From His Right

Opinion

The GOP, Obamacare and Dysfunction

Opinion

What the hell is wrong with the Senate Republicans. Why is it that a few miserable individual politicians, allegedly conservatives, believe it is their duty to hang forever the Albatross of mandated, unaffordable healthcare, as tax law, around necks of middle class Americans?

In consequence of their failure to REPEAL Obamacare, just repeal it, Mitch McConnell may, and probably will, bring forth for a vote the 2015 Republican House bill that did repeal  Obamacare. When that happens these Senators, in conference, will have to decide to fish or cut bait. Believe me, they will collapse, defeat the bill they once championed and plunge Americans into a two class system, the poor and the wealthy. Goodbye Middle Class, forever.

So long as people know that the fundamental flaw of Obamacare, its unaffordable mandates, still exists, that it keeps tax money flowing to insurance companies without any controls, those politicians not killing it are in danger of being primarried as they should and replaced by Tea Party conservative candidates as they will. Failure to do so will not stop the rise of the costs of healthcare but will accelerate its collapse and thus, Americas descent into the abyss of socialism. Look to Cuba and Venezuela to see what lies in our future.

Senator Rand Paul, smart as he is in looking for a reasonable bill, has missed the point of the existence of a Republican Party anyway. The fundamental flaw of healthcare is that the government has no business at all providing health insurance. It’s not in the Constitution. “But the poor in my state” will have no health care at all if the government doesn’t require it.” That’s a lie too, and they know it. No one will be denied healthcare at the point of need. The taxpayers just don’t need to fund their abortions, their treatment for alcoholism, drug abuse and smoking addictions. That entire class could be simply dropped from coverage and billions of dollars would be saved. They’re non productive anyway. If high costs are the only problem, let the Death Panels send them to the grave. That’s why they exist.

But we forget, the original purpose of Obamacare was not to be a healthcare plan, but a wealth redistribution and transfer scheme specifically designed to eliminate the middle-class by driving Americans into the embracing arms of Socialism with a single payer (government) in charge of another one sixth of the economy. When that happens watch how fast the death panels do go into action. Baby, Charlie Gard, in England, a victim of the U’s National Health System, is a current best example of the state deciding who live or die, by board decision.

Senator Rand Paul did accurately described the present situation. He said: "It keeps the insurance mandates that cause the prices to rise, which chase young, healthy people out of the marketplace, and leads to what people call adverse selection, where you have a sicker and sicker insurance pool and the premiums keep rising through the roof.”

Obamacare, or its Republican echo as it seems probable, will continue the charade of political leadership, retaining the mandates nobody is anymore willing to pay, inflicting the criminality  of tax evasion on avoiders, thus eliminating the middle class by enforcing the seizure of private property to accomplish by ruthlessness, what the law cannot do by willingness and will continue the Left’s enforced socialism on an increasingly uncooperative citizenry.

The elite Republicans have discarded all pretense of being conservative. They are and will continue to be champions of Big Government. It’s a virus that feeds on itself. They can’t quit unless removed from office. Stop funding the National Republican Senatorial Committee. They are not for you. Fund your own candidate of choice. Drop your Republican membership and reregister as Independent Conservatives; re-energize your tea party’s and get to work. If conservatism is to survive, a new party must replace the old. The GOP is worn out. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em!

Can The Swamp Be Drained?

Opinion

Can The Swamp Be Drained?

It’s a crying shame that Dr.Tom Price, former Ga 6th District Rep. and Trumps appointed Secretary of Health & Human Services, saw it necessary to cave in to the leftist media’s tsunami attack on his transportation woes. The “Establishment”, the corrupted one world government crowd of Progressivism, can now proudly hang another trophy head on their wall. It appears the VA Secretary may be next followed by whomever shows even a hint of weakness. Beware, the establish will eat its own.

But let’s be truthful. This is not an accident. It’s a coordinated ‘establishment’ attack by our ‘betters’ to neuter Trump presidency they see as dangerous to their lifestyle. They haven’t been able to demonize or criminalize Trump, so they have now started picking around the edges claiming a trophy here and a trophy there until Trump’s vision of draining the swamp collapses into the very swamp we know he was talking about. They will drown him in vile pettiness.

They are stealing our election. Do not look to the GOP for succor. They are all in for the kill. This is larger than just Democrats and Republicans wanting to retain power; this is a massive coordinated, well funded attack by the “establishment elites,” funded by their financial cronies, to maintain the status quo. The organizers behind it don’t really care if the government is Constitutional, Socialist, Marxist or Fascists so long as the money brokers control the strings that make all us puppets dance to their tune.

John Kasich, Republican Governor of Ohio, a total establish bureaucrat, is licking his chops waiting to offer himself up once again as America’s best hope. Hope for what? Government through bipartisanship? That’s all he talks about. Hope is just wishful thinking as we learned after suffering eight years of “Hope and Change’ during the excruciating Obama days. Bipartisanship with Democrats simply means that our side caves in to their sides Progressive agenda, an agenda the American voters rejected in the past three elections and continue to reject with the recent primary election of firebrand Ala. Senatorial candidate, Judge Roy Moore.

Now we have to continue the fight, It is incumbent upon conservative voters everywhere to stand up and be counted, to understand, as Reagan cautioned, “Don’t look to Government to solve the problem, the government is the problem” and realize that…“There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part; you can’t even passively take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop. And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!.” …Mario Savio, UC Berkeley, Dec. 2, 1965.

The ‘machine’ is trying to save itself. With the alarming exodus of Trumps conservative cabinet secretaries, presidential advisers, associates and mid-level managers, it appears the deep state could win the battle after all. The next generation following us are becoming our enemies, brainwashed as they have been by the socialist dogma spewing from lecture stands in our colleges and universities. How can it be stopped? Can the swamp be drained? How do we address America’s history without being challenged over its every perceived error?

But what about the swamp? If you haven’t read The Art of the Deal, you can’t possibly understand Trumps tactics. He will get around to draining the swamp. It’s a three step plan with steps one and two almost completed. I don’t think a mere politician has the tactical skills to compete with Donald Trump. He’s a lot smarter than the average bear. More later.

Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (30Sep17)

Short Takes – Abdication

Opinion

Abdication

The decline of America’s two political parties is not a surprise. They have cheated America’s voters leaving them searching for Constitutional alternatives. The GOP’s abdication of its conservative principles presents a signal problem that can no longer be ignored; problems that voters saw coming and attempted to fix in 2012, 2014 and 2016, without success, is evidence enough that the GOP is broken and represents nobody except themselves. They don’t want to do anything lest they rock the boat and lose favor with their money suppliers and the media. The GOP has clearly abdicated its role as America’s conservative party. In other words, there isn’t one any more. They GOP elites didn’t get the message.

The Marxist controlled Democrat party holds no effective power in government except to act as obstructionists. Their leadership is composed of geriatric, old Marxists and Progressives, products of the 1960’s anti-Vietnam war era, still searching for the magic formula that will enable them to complete their socialization America, interrupted by Donald Trump. Count them gone.

For Conservatives, the Republican party has long claimed they held the key to salvation until we learned, and are still learning, that they are in fact liars, cheats and shills for big government and the cash that flows from it. There are some serious exceptions like David Perdue, Tom Cotton, Mike Lee and maybe even Tom Cruz. The party has more than its share of treacherous villains like the unprincipled John McCain and feckless leftist, Susan Collins among others, who join the Democrats in obstructing the Conservative agenda, that Donald Trump seized and gave voice to the deep concerns of many Americans about the direction the socialists were taking America.

How do we solve the problem? A new party? Nope!  No matter what it’s called a new party will simply not work. The Libertarians have been out there for years and have not advanced above the popularity level they first achieved since the beginning. I agree they are Constitutional conservatives, with exceptions, and it’s those exceptions that have them stalled in third place.

The only course available for conservative Republicans, independents and Democrats alarmed at the deceit of the Ruling Caste, is to replace the old GOP, member by member, in primary challenges by conservative candidates until the whole rotten GOP house of cards collapses.

Why? Because that’s where the money is. That’s where the donations come to, that’s the crucible of corruption, that’s the seat of power and that’s the swamp Trump wants to drain. It must be done and it can’t be done from outside. The formation of new parties with their petty individual demands, would turn America into a squabbling cacophony of incompetent, third rate politicians, a mirror image example of the socialist European Union, especially Germany.

Conservative Americans want a return of their personal liberty and respect for their individual achievements. The GOP is not giving it, but Trump is. He has identified several issues that will restore those lost liberties: eliminating Obama’s regulatory state, cutting taxes, creating jobs, enforcing immigration laws, and attempting to fix the Republican healthcare fiasco. Trump is trying to reshape policy in these areas, as Americans want. Apparently the GOP won’t help but insist that they, acting as our ruling class, are too important to be removed.

Trump’s success will positively impact America for generations to come. Can there be a constitutional renewal in America? Not if our betters have anything to say about it. It’s time to replace them. We can start by re registering as Independents. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (25Sep17)

Short Takes – 2018

Opinion

2018

Today is the first day of a brand new year, that drags along with it the sum of all the problems and pretenses of the old year, but accompanied with a dash of sincere hope that under new management, our country can succeed in restoring America to its rightful role, for all the world, as the “Shining Beacon on the Hill.”

I noted that we approach the future under Donald Trump, ‘with a dash of hope,’ but also with a marked lack of enthusiasm. The TEA Party experience seems to have evaporated into thin air after having achieved three consecutive election victories for Conservative principles that finally showed the Marxist-Democrats the door. But those rascals are still out there plotting and scheming and organizing, to undo the grass works efforts that made a Trump Presidency and a Republican Congress possible. From Republicans, there is no gratitude.

Shockingly, the lack of acknowledgement of that effort from our stunned elected politicians who constitute the Republican Party, and who still fail to grasp the import of the tidal wave of political change that eliminated the Democrats, has also swept the GOP’s influence out the door too. They are still reeling in disbelief wondering how a pragmatists became their leader. Apparently some have even “reached across the aisle” to join hands with the Socialist enemy to try to restore their combined hegemony over the American political process. Let the looting continue.

Primary among the GOP “Never Trumpers” stands 4th place loser John Kasich, Governor of Ohio who, if the frequent appeals from his web site to my email address are any indication, still believes he should be the rightful Republican candidate so as to restore to proper governing, the failed process of “bipartisanship” and return our government to the capable hands of the one world government crowd composed of mega banks, international corporations and the quasi assembly of third world nations gathered under the blue banner of the United Nations.

2018 will be another important midterm election experience for conservatism. Also judging by the volume of their appeals for donations, Democrats must truly believe, because Americans really, really hate Trump, that they will capture the House and the Senate again. How they accomplish that goal with an intractable and intransigent, but aging leadership, themselves ready for hospice care, is in serious doubt. Their message never changes, free stuff for everyone, no border walls, protect sanctuary cities and states, and free education and glorify perversion because it’s only fair.

Future leadership for the Democrat party is an unspoken contest between old time American  leftists and the corroding influence of foreign ideals (Islam), they are trying to force into the American culture as a norm, a precursor of the coming jihad that turns America into a Caliphate.

Presently, both party’s find their bases confused by indecision. For the Democrats, it’s do they move further left and double down, or move center right to save themselves? For the stupid Republicans, a golden opportunity has been laid at their feet and sure as heck, they’re going to flub it. Where is the TEA parties when we need them? The GOP needs to be cleansed of its socialist heretics. Younger conservative candidates need to be encouraged to step forward and seize the reins of American constitutionalism. As my friend Jack Smith reminds us constantly, “if not now, when?” “If not you, who?”…or something like that. We’ve got to get moving, now.

Short Takes – What’s In It For Local Politics?

Opinion

What’s In It for Local Politics?

It seems that Democrats believe they can turn Georgia, and other “Red” states, “Blue”  by challenging Republican incumbents on the basis that everybody really hates Trump. Democrats are shocked that Obama’s legacy is being exposed for the dangerous fraud it was and is being dismantled. For Democrats, it’s not that it was a fraud but that it was exposed.

As a campaign plan, I supposed It could work because the voters that Democrats hope to entice, have been dumbed down by a barely adequate education to the point democrats must feel that challenging a successful conservative political party, led by the hated Donald Trump, could be a workable plan. “Those Bad Republicans will take away all your benefits.”

Democrat do so without offering any plan of their own except the old Leftist doggerel about how racist, Islamophobic and homophobic the Republicans are. That’s an exercise in “hope”, which is no plan at all. But, they could be partially right because Georgia establishment Republicans still stubbornly cling to supporting their elites instead of recruiting new young conservatives, men and women, and grooming them for public office.

For Georgia’s Governor, who is the GOP’s candidate? We’re told it’s Casey Cagle’s race to lose. Why? What has he done? Somebody must believe it because they said it. Do you believe it? The Democrat Left doesn’t. They’re on the attack regardless of a lack of viable candidates or leadership. Their constant and multiple appeals for cash donations fills my email box daily and their only message is a constant: “Impeach Trump!”  Their appeals are ludicrous, but I get little or nothing from Republicans or GOP pacs except the occasional fuzzy idea that it’s the old establishment for which they would appreciate my contribution. Nope! I donate only to the candidate of my choice and, If I feel that way, and I know I’m not alone, then local GOP politics are not going to be very successful in either collecting money or keeping offices. Look what happened in Cobb County, Ga,. It’s turning “Blue” A failure of GOP leadership.

Why should Ga. voters be expected to support Casey Cable simply because he is Lt. Governor? That’s no recommendation. He’s old GOP and claims no accomplishments except that he is Lt. Gov. Now, the field is under challenge by several younger, more conservative candidates, any of whom could actually win by embracing the changes that Trump has brought. Michael Williams, Hunter Hill and Mike Neely immediately come to mind as great GOP contenders to support.

Lt. Governors are not entitled to advancement simply because of seniority. For the GOP it’s time for real change. Trump has shown us the way by his active significant achievements that has discombobulated what has long been considered normal politics. There is no better argument than success and the Democrats don’t have it. GOP candidates, if they expect to stay in power, had better get on board the “Trump Train” or at least follow his example.

Local political contests, like in Georgia, concerned with their own local problems, are still a reflection of the national party that’s in power. It’s not the Socialist Democrats and, it’s not really the Republicans either. If there is to be a Republican party and keep that name, the occupiers in it should realize that a fellow named Donald Trump changed the battle plans.

In the grand sweep of history, only a few have made significant difference to popular trends. I reckon Lincoln, Roosevelt, Churchill, Reagan, Thatcher and now Donald Trump as those trend setters. Everything before Trump is history. The decades Democrats have spent introducing socialism into American culture as the norm, are being shredded by the common sense of a pragmatic billionaire businessman. He made promises and he’s keeping them. He’s proving his worth and the elites of both parties, who feel their absolute entitlement to political leadership is being threatened, have been sent reeling in confusion and disorder.

The Democrats are coming after Georgia with gobs of money. They are fixated on socializing America and will continue to dash themselves against the cracked and crumbling wall of long standing civilized customs and traditions until it falls. They were succeeding, until Trump came along, but they haven’t stopped. We have!

Hunter Hill Wins the Straw Poll at the Georgia GOP Convention

Politics

Dear Friends,

I have great news to share with you! This past weekend we won the straw poll at the Georgia GOP Convention! It is great to know that our message of smaller government and conservative values are resonating with the grassroots leaders of our party! Georgia republicans are ready to elect a true conservative Governor! Are you ready to join the team? Your contribution today of $25, $50, or $100 can help us to take this winning message and spread it across Georgia.

This straw poll proves that Georgian’s are ready to shake things up in Atlanta. We are tired of electing status quo, career politicians that continue to give us the same results. We need true conservative leadership to move Georgia forward!

We won the straw poll and we can win this election. But it will take bold conservatives, such as yourself, stepping up to stand with me in the gap. Are you willing to join me in the fight for true conservative leadership in Georgia?

In my third tour overseas, I held a team prayer every time we left the safe zone. It was optional but all of my men participated. It was because of the Lord’s protection that every single one of my men returned without serious injury or death. I tell you this story because it proves that with the Lord’s guidance, a good team, and solid leadership, we can accomplish the mission we set out to complete. Will you join my team so that together we can elect a true conservative Governor?

Georgia republicans are ready, are you?

In Liberty,

Hunter Hill
