GBI Arrests Habersham County Woman in Drug Investigation

HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga – The GBI has arrested and charged Celia Savage, age 34, of Habersham County, GA, following a joint drug investigation by the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the GBI Special Enforcement Team.  Police charged Savage with the following:

  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute Bureau
  • Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Xanax with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Lortab with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Tramadol with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Clonazepam with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Oxycodone with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of Psilocybin with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of THC Concentrates with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime

On Friday, March 8, 2024, police executed search warrants at two homes in Cornelia, Habersham County, Georgia, related to an ongoing drug investigation. As a result of the investigation, police seized the following items as evidence:

  • Approximately 2 pounds of marijuana (street value of about $10,000)
  • Approximately 1 gram of fentanyl (street value of about $150)
  • Approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine (street value of about $250)
  • Approximately 30 grams of psilocybin (street value of about $500)
  • Approximately 5 grams of THC concentrates
  • Approximately 75 pills including Xanax, Lortab, Tramadol, Oxycodone, Amphetamine, Alprazolam, and Clonazepam.
  • 42 guns

Savage is currently booked at the Habersham County Jail.

Multiple agencies conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within Habersham County and promote a safer place for productive citizens.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office is a multi-agency unit that consists of the following Sheriff’s Offices: White County, Lumpkin County, Banks County, Jackson County, Habersham County, Stephens County, Rabun County, Franklin County, Gilmer County, Fannin County, the Cleveland Police Department and the Toccoa Police Department, along with the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, the Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Community Supervisor, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
