The Board of Commissioners approve enhancement of safety in Catoosa County Public Schools

The Board of Commissioners approved a measure during Monday’s called meeting to enhance safety in Catoosa County Public Schools. An amendment to the 2022 budget approved Sheriff Gary Sisk and the School Board’s request for seven additional school resource officers. In addition to SROs already at all county middle and high schools, this amendment will provide an SRO at all elementary schools, which have up until now shared officers.
Additional benefits include greater officer presence at school functions and events, and more earned time off that our officers can spend with their families.
