Record early voting numbers – last chance to vote

GEORGIA – It is Election Day! The polls will officially close at 7:00 p.m. in Georgia counties and the polls are closing soon. It is your last chance to vote!

If you have not voted yet and you are worried about wait times, check out your counties website before going as many list their wait times online.

Even if wait times are long, as long as you are in line to vote by 7:00 p.m. you are legally allowed to vote. Stay in line!

Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID to vote.

The Secretary of State’s website has reported record number of early voting, with 2,288,889 voters casting their ballot during Early Voting. This is 6 percent higher than early voting numbers during the presidential election in 2020.

This shows a general interest among voters in just how important this election is. It was estimated that double the amount of voters will turn out to the polls today to vote.

“Georgia voters came out in near Presidential-level numbers,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “County election directors handled that demand with the utmost professionalism. They navigated a whole host of challenges and executed seamlessly. They deserve our highest praise.”
