FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. – Fannin County High School has issued a scam warning to local businesses and churches in Fannin County.
Shannon York, the Athletic Director for FCHS sent out the following press release regarding the recent issue.
“There are scam phone requests being made to local businesses and churches in the area. The callers are representing themselves as FCHS sponsored companies. There are only three companies that are legitimately asking for donations for Fannin County High School:
These three companies serve FCHS Cheer in securing sponsors for items they give away at games, such as t-shirts, balls, etc.
If you receive a call from anyone requesting a donation or sponsorship opportunity, and you are suspicious, please contact FCHS Assistant Athletic Director (kmancuso@fannin.k12.ga.us) to verify that the company is legitimate.”
