Undercover buy-bust leads to one drug trafficking arrest

On June 25, 2020, The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division with the help of the Vonore Police Department set up an undercover buy-bust takedown on a suspected Methamphetamine trafficker in Monroe County, TN. An undercover Law Enforcement Officer was utilized in purchasing Methamphetamine from Lawrence Bryant. Mr. Bryant delivered the Methamphetamine to a location in Monroe County. A takedown traffic stop was then conducted on Mr. Bryant, where more Methamphetamine, Marijuana, paraphernalia, and a firearm was recovered. Mr. Bryant was taken into custody and charged with sale/delivery of schedule II Methamphetamine, possession of schedule II Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule VI marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
