Waynesville Resident Arrested on Drug and Parole Violations

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Ga.- The Waynesville Police Department Tac Unit received an anonymous tip leading to the arrest of Chad Nathan Bennett on a parole violation and drug charges.
Bennett was wanted for a parole violation and other pending felony warrants. He was located by police at the Waynesville Plaza sitting inside his vehicle.
When officers approached the vehicle Bennett could be seen holding a knife and actively cutting methamphetamine on the back of a cell phone. Besides the methamphetamine, he had other narcotics on him when taken into custody.
Bennett is being charged with PWIMSD Sch II and Simple Possession of Sch III and was given a $50,000 secured bond. Bennett has 63 disposed of charges and had pending drug charges of Possession w/Intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Sch III, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
