PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – On Monday, Jan. 29, Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the scene of a murder.
Deputies initially received a 911 call that a person had been stabbed at a residence on Outback Rd. In Jasper.
When they arrived to the scene, deputies found Linda Foster, 75, deceased.
According to a release from Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, her body was found lying on the living room floor, covered in multiple stab wounds.
Her son, Barry Douglas Williams was arrested and will be charged with murder and aggravated assault.
The investigation is still ongoing and there are no other updates at this time.
