ROSSVILLE, Ga. — A 36-year-old Rossville man has been arrested and charged following a Georgia Bureau of Investigation investigation into the online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The GBI announced the arrest of Nathan Aldrich, 36, of Rossville, on Friday. Aldrich faces two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
According to the GBI, its Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit began a proactive investigation in February 2025 into the online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation ultimately led agents to an address in Rossville.
Aldrich was arrested Thursday, August 27, 2026, and booked into the Walker County Jail.
The GBI’s Regional Investigative Office in Calhoun and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
The case is part of the ongoing work of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which operates within the GBI’s CEACC Unit.
The task force works to identify individuals involved in the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The ICAC Program was established by the U.S. Department of Justice in response to the growing use of the internet by children and teenagers, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material and increased online activity by individuals seeking unsupervised contact with minors.
Anyone with information about suspected child exploitation is encouraged to contact the GBI’s CEACC Unit at 404-270-8870 or submit information through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline.
Anonymous tips may also be submitted by calling 1-800-597-TIPS (8477), through the GBI’s online tip system, or through the See Something, Send Something mobile application.
