PRESS RELEASE – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced, on Dec. 15, that a residential fire on Heritage Drive in Dallas claimed the life of one victim.
On December 12th, Investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office were requested to assist in the investigation of a residential fire with one possible victim.
“First responders rescued one victim from the residence and transported her to the local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased,” said Commissioner King. “While our preliminary investigation suggests the fire to be accidental in nature, the investigation will remain open until a final cause is determined.
