CHATTOOGA COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal crash on Taylor’s Ridge Sunday night as Sarah Ryan, 50, of Trion, according to the Chattooga County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck occurred around 8:07 p.m. on Highway 27, on the north side of Taylor’s Ridge. Emergency responders from Chattooga E-911, the Coroner’s Office, and Georgia State Patrol arrived at the scene of what was described as a three-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.
Chattooga County Coroner Jeremy McElhaney pronounced Ryan, dead at the scene.
Another person involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
All lanes of Highway 27 were temporarily shut down Sunday night while investigators worked at the scene.
The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
