MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Maryville Police and Fire are investigating a house fire and murder – suicide case from August 20th, 2022. Regal Towers sixth floor, located on 453 Greenbelt Drive, was found in flames with two gunshot victims.
According to current updates,
Maryville Police and Fire responded to a fire alarm at 2:38 a.m. this last Saturday.
Tennessee Crime Watchers have said first responders could see a trail of gasoline from the elevator to the residence home.
Continuing, investigators found two victims in the back bedroom with gunshot wounds next to gas cans and accelerants.
The 40-year-old and 41-year-old Christina Costa and Sam Olea have been identified.
Maryville Chief of Police Tony Crisp said, “At this time there is no more leads as to why it happened. The investigation is still underway; we are trying to piece everything together.”
The Maryville Police have suspected this to be a murder-suicide.
