Man stole thousands from Pickens County resident

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga.- A man in North Carolina stole thousands from a Pickens County resident by using a stolen drivers license to withdrawal funds from a bank.

Pickens County Sheriff’s Office are asking for help in identifying the individual.

PCSO shared the following message in regards to the incident.

”On March 15, 2023, this man [pictured above] entered the United Community Bank in Clayton, North Carolina, and used a fraudulent Georgia drivers license containing the stolen identity of an individual in Pickens County. He was able to successfully withdraw several thousand dollars from the account.

The Pickens Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man in this picture. Please contact the Criminal Investigations Division at telephone number 706-253-8935 if you recognize him.”
