PRESS RELEASE – Franklin County, Georgia – On December 7th, 2025, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unresponsive individual lying on the side of Kesler Road. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed one individual lying on the side of Kesler Road. Life-saving measures were administered, but were ineffective.
In accordance with standard protocol, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No additional information is being released at this time to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
Sheriff Andrews stated, “Our office is committed to ensuring a thorough and transparent investigation. We appreciate the GBI’s assistance and ask for patience as investigators work to determine the facts.”
