Former Truett-McConnell Vice President Surrenders After Indictment Tied to Sexual Misconduct Investigation

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. – The former vice president of Truett-McConnell University turned himself in to authorities this week following a grand jury indictment tied to an ongoing investigation involving allegations of sexual misconduct.

Bradley Reynolds surrendered at the White County Detention Center after being indicted on three felony counts of making false statements to law enforcement. Officials said Reynolds was later released on bond.

The charges stem from statements Reynolds allegedly made during a March 2024 interview with investigators from the White County Sheriff’s Office. Prosecutors allege Reynolds provided false information while being questioned about his relationship with a former student who later became a university employee.

While Reynolds has not been charged with sexual assault, the false-statement charges are connected to a broader investigation involving allegations that he engaged in an inappropriate and abusive relationship with the former student over several years. The woman provided investigators with emails and other communications she claims were sent by Reynolds during that period.

The case is part of a larger controversy that has brought increased scrutiny to Truett-McConnell University and its handling of prior complaints involving senior leadership. The investigation has drawn attention beyond White County, prompting coverage from state and national media outlets.

Court records indicate Reynolds had been living out of state prior to his surrender. Authorities allowed him time to turn himself in before seeking extradition.

The investigation remains ongoing, and prosecutors have not indicated whether additional charges could be forthcoming.
