State of Emergency Expanded in Georgia
Featured, Featured Stories, News January 2, 2016 , by Lisa PritchardGeorgia Governor Nathan Deal has expanded the state of emergency to include Gordon, Macon, Towns, Troup, and Wilkes Counties. Deal also extended the emergency declaration, issued last week for Fannin, Gilmer and Pickens Counties, to Jan. 7, 2016. State agencies will continue coordinating with local authorities to provide assistance to these communities.
Governor of Georgia Nathan Deal declared a State of Emergency for Gilmer, Pickens, and Fannin Counties in December 2015 due to the flooding on Christmas Eve.
