White County drug bust

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — A Watkinsville, Ga. man has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, and failing to maintain lane after a traffic stop on Hwy. 356 at Timber Loft Cottages Sunday.

A White County Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed a white SUV on that was not staying in its lane at approximately 10:45 pm and when he stopped the vehicle, the driver, Anderson Dowdy, told him he had drugs inside. The officer observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and conducted a full search.

The search netted 42 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of marijuana, 3.5 grams of cocaine, and a large sum of money. Dowdy was then transported to the White County Detention Center.
