Rabun County High School Employee Charged With Child Sex Crimes

CLAYTON, Ga. — A Rabun County High School employee has been arrested on multiple child sex crime charges following an investigation by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release from Sheriff Mark Gerrells, the agency’s Criminal Investigations Division obtained arrest warrants for Ashleigh Wilson, 26, of Clayton. Wilson was booked Feb. 26 into the Rabun County Detention Center.
She is charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation, grooming of a minor and sexual exploitation of a child.
The sheriff’s office said it was asked by the Rabun County Board of Education to investigate allegations of inappropriate physical contact and electronic communication with a minor. Authorities said the allegations involved an employee of Rabun County High School.
Investigators identified Wilson, a cafeteria employee at the school, as the suspect during the course of the investigation, according to the release.
The case remains active and ongoing, and no additional information is being released at this time. Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be submitted to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
