FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. – The phrase #JusticeforDolly has been gaining traction within the local community of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Dolly, a female Basset Hound, is currently being treated in Fannin County by Veterinarian, Dr. Mitchell, for what appears to be extreme malnourishment.
A concerned local wrote on Facebook that Dr. Mitchell had allegedly stated Dolly had not eaten in a month when she arrived in his care.
How Dolly ended up in this condition is currently being investigated.
According to updates released on social media, Dolly seems to be stable but still in critical condition.
Dolly’s case has given a new push by locals to review laws on animal care in Fannin County.
As this is an active investigation, more information will be released as we get it.
