Election night runoff results

GILMER COUNTY, Ga. – Following the election night results on May 21, 2024, the seat for County Commission Post 1 entered a runoff.

Karleen Ferguson has officially secured the seat in the runoff, earning 55.43 percent of the vote.

Doug Rink earned 44.57 percent of the vote, making it a tight race; however, Ferguson was able to pull out ahead of Rink.
