Deputies Respond to Shots Fired Call on Lance Road

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the Lance Road area, where an incident stemming from a domestic dispute led to one person being taken into custody, officials said.

According to law enforcement, deputies were dispatched to the area after receiving calls about shots being fired. Upon arrival, deputies determined the situation originated from a domestic altercation inside a residence.

During the dispute, one individual exited the home and discharged a firearm, authorities said. Deputies quickly secured the scene and identified the predominant aggressor, who was taken into custody without further incident.

No injuries were reported, and officials confirmed that no individuals were struck by gunfire.
