PRESS RELEASE – Due to the expected cold temperatures, an Emergency Warming Center will be open tomorrow, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Crossbridge Church, located at 680 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA.
Anyone in need of a safe and warm place to stay overnight is welcome; light refreshments will be available.
SHOULD ANYONE NEED TRANSPORTATION bus stops are established at the three locations listed below. Crossbridge Church will be picking up at each location at 6pm. For further questions please contact Crossbridge Community Church, 706-216-3138.
During extreme cold, our Emergency Warming Center opens to provide a safe, warm space for our Dawson County neighbors in need. We rely on caring volunteers like you. We will send out a volunteer sign up tomorrow morning as we ascertain the hosting facility needs.
Please help us spread the word to anyone who may need shelter from the cold tomorrow and Tuesday.
