DADE COUNTY, Ga. – Residents in an area of Dade County are being urged to remain inside their homes while authorities investigate an active crime scene.

According to an alert issued by authorities approximately 30 minutes ago, the affected area includes Michael’s Road from Highway 301 to the Alabama state line, with an active crime scene reported near the 400 block of Michael’s Road.

Residents within the area are being asked to stay inside their residences and avoid going outdoors.

Authorities also urged residents to call 911 immediately if they see anyone who is not a law enforcement officer walking in the area.
