Collins Statement on President’s Decision to Leave Iran Deal

WASHINGTON—Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) released the following statement in response to President Donald Trump’s announcement about the Iran Deal:

“I support President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the folly that is the Iran Deal. I’ve had grave concerns with the deal from the beginning, and I’ve long said that a nation that promotes terror internationally and against its own people has no business increasing its nuclear capabilities. America has no place giving this bad actor legitimacy or economic relief through such a defective agreement. Iran must be held accountable, and I believe we can work as a country and with our allies to rein in this rogue nation.”
