CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — A recent fundraiser in Catoosa County raised more than $15,000 to benefit the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, thanks to the generosity of community members.
Organizers announced that the fundraiser brought in $15,172 in cash donations, along with an additional $182 in online contributions, for a total of $15,354 raised for the foundation.
The Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation provides support for burn-care facilities and assists burn survivors and their families throughout the recovery process.
Organizers said the foundation holds a special place in their hearts because of the vital services it provides to individuals and families affected by burn injuries.
They expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser and helped support the foundation’s mission.
“The generosity of our community” was described as a major factor in the fundraiser’s success, with organizers thanking Catoosa County residents and others who helped make the effort possible.
