FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -Earlier in the month, the detectives with the Johns Creek and Forsyth County Drug Task Force (JCaF) received a tip a resident on the north end of Forsyth County was receiving large amounts of cocaine through the mail and possibly distributing the cocaine throughout Forsyth County.
Through the investigation, the JCaF detectives were able to determine the packages were shipped via a national delivery service.
With the assistance of service’s Security Specialists, members of the JCaF Drug Task Force were able to locate and intercept a package that was destined for the suspect’s residence.
FCSO K9 Buzz alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the package.
A search warrant was obtained to open the package and revealed over 60 grams of cocaine concealed within a bag of coffee.
Yes that’s correct – just like in the movies! But that coffee didn’t stop our #supersniffer K9 Buzz.
An undercover detective posing as delivery man, delivered the package to the suspect’s address.
A search warrant for the home was obtained where additional cocaine was located, along with packaging materials and a digital scale.
The suspect, 35-year-old Alexandra Claerbout of Cumming, was arrested for Trafficking Cocaine.
Not in Forsyth – not even a little bit! When it absolutely positively has to be there overnight does not count with drugs.
