The Union County Panthers football team sure had a season to remember in 2023. The Purple and Gold capped off their 8-4 season with a trip to the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs and were Region 8AA Runner-up.

Region 8AA Player of The Year: Senior QB Caiden Tanner
Caiden Tanner finished his senior campaign with 3,105 passing yards, setting the school record for passing yards in a single season. Tanner completed his passes at a high percentage (.687 completion %) and found the endzone 36 total times. He finished his career with 72 total TDs, second all-time in Panther history.
