Week 8 North Georgia Scoreboard

Fannin- 0

Model- 24

Model uses a big second half to get the big shutout win over the Rebels. Model now moves to 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in region play. They will travel to Haralson County to take on the 2-5 Rebels. As for Fannin, their 3 game losing streak comes to an end and they now sit at 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the region. The Rebels will host 5-2 (3-0) North Murray next week.

Pickens- 0

Dawson- 27

Dawson has now shut out opponents in back to back games and are now 5-2 overall and 3-0 in region play. They travel to Wesleyan next week to take on the Wolves who are now 3-4 (2-1) in region play. As for the Dragons they are now 1-5 overall and 0-2 in region play. They will host the Gilmer Bobcats who are 5-2 (2-1) Gilmer next Friday night.

Lumpkin- 31

Gilmer- 28

Gilmer dropped their first region game at the hands of the Lumpkin Indians who managed to comeback in this one. The Bobcats are now 5-2 and 2-1 in region play. They will travel to Pickens to take on the “headless” dragons. As for Lumpkin they rebounded nicely after falling to Wesleyan last week. They now move to 6-1 on the season and 2-1 in region play. They will head up to White County to take on the 2-4 (0-2) Warriors.

Rabun- 17

St. Francis- 14

Rabun was able to hold off St. Francis and now move to 7-0 on the season. They will open region play next week at Elbert County who also sits at 7-0. As for the Knights they fall to 4-3 on the season and will travel to Whitefield Academy to take on the 5-2 Wolfpack.

Union- 42

Banks- 7

After a nice two week Bye, they came out strong and destroyed Banks County. The Panthers now sit at 5-1 overall and 1-0 in region play. They will play host to Providence Christian Academy (2-4). As for Banks County they fall to 4-3 on the season and 0-2 in region play. The Leopards will travel to Athens to take on the 4-1 Athens Academy Spartans.

Towns- 13

Aquinas- 42

The Fightin’ Irish destroyed Towns County and now move to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in region play. They will travel to Lincoln County to take on the 4-2 (1-0) Red Devils. As for Towns they now fall to 1-5 on the season and 1-2 in region play. They will take on the 0-6 Johnson Knights.

Haralson- 0

Rockmart- 56

Rockmart pitched a shutout Friday night as they dominated Haralson on both sides of the ball. The Yellowjackets move to 4-2 on the year and are 2-0 in region play. They will travel to Chatsworth to take on 0-6 (0-2) Murray County. As for Haralson, they fall to 2-5 and 1-2 in region play after another disappointing showing. They will host Model who is 4-4 (2-1) this season.

Wesleyan- 22

White- 17

White County now falls to 0-2 in region play and 2-4 overall. They will now turn their attention to West Hall as they travel to Oakwood to take on the 1-5 (0-2) Spartans who are coming off their Bye Week. As for Wesleyan they move to 3-4 (2-1) on the season and they will host the Dawson Tigers who sit atop the region at 3-0 and are 5-2 overall this season.

North Murray- 63

Gordon Central- 13

North Murray dominated Gordon Central this week racking up a huge 50 point win. They are outscoring region opponents 152-42 and now move to 5-2 on the season and remain undefeated in region play. North Murray will travel to Fannin County to take on the other Rebels next Friday night. As for Gordon Central their disastrous season continues as they now fall to 0-7 on the season. They will travel to Rockmart next week to take on the 4-2 (2-0) Yellowjackets
