FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – Two individuals were shot during an isolated altercation at a local business in Forsyth County this morning.
According to reports, the two male shooting victims are temporary staffing employees at the local business and had not been employed very long.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) sated, “at 7:40 this morning we received a 911 call about a shooting at 2535 Ivy Street. Deputies responded within 4 minutes and located 2 shooting victims. One was deceased and one was in critical condition.”
FSCO said preliminary investigation indicates that the two men got into a physical altercation. Both men retrieved firearms and shot each other.
This resulted in one victim deceased at the scene and the other was transported to the hospital in critical condition where he remains.
The identity of the two men have not yet been revealed and no charges have been filed as of yet.
The major crimes unit of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is currently interviewing witnesses to understand more of the incident that took place this morning.
