PRESS RELEASE – Following a two-month investigation, GCSO Deputies and Detectives—assigned to the GBI ARDEO (Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office) and FBI Safe Streets Task Force—executed arrest warrants for JAMES CALVIN SLUDER, JR., age 49, on February 26th.
A subsequent search warrant was carried out at Sluder’s residence on Quarles Lane where authorities discovered 5.6 ounces of Methamphetamine packaged for distribution and 1.8 pounds of Marijuana.
During the search, detectives and deputies also seized a “ghost gun,” a fully-automatic AR-15-style rifle equipped with a sound suppressor.
Sluder has been charged with the following felonies:
– Felon in Possession of a Firearm
– Trafficking in Methamphetamine (4 counts)
– Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
– Possession of Illegal Firearm / Parts (2 counts)
