Reported Stabbing in Fannin County

FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. – A woman and her dog were reportedly stabbed around 6:45 a.m. this morning in Fannin County.

The stabbing reportedly occurred in a residence in the Sunshine Valley area.

According to neighboring residents, the woman is recovering but the dog unfortunately passed after it was rushed to the emergency vet with heavy blood loss.

Neighbors also reported that it appeared to be a domestic situation with the suspect seen inside of the residence when the stabbing occurred and exiting shortly after.

The suspect was reported to be on the run. FYN has reached out to the Sheriff’s Office for more information.
