Rep. Graves, U.S. House Approve ‘Wall of Remembrance’ To Honor Korean War Veterans

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) supported and the House approved the Korean War Veterans Memorial Wall of Remembrance Act (H.R. 1475), legislation that would authorize the addition of a Wall of Remembrance to the Korean War Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The Wall of Remembrance would list the name of each American veteran who was killed during the Korean War as well as the number of veterans who were wounded, captured and went missing.

“I’m proud to support legislation honoring our Korean War heroes in this way,” said Rep. Graves, who cosponsored the legislation. “This Wall of Remembrance will serve as a very personal reminder that freedom is not free. It’s only because of the many sacrifices made by our veterans and their families that we live free today.”

H.R. 1475 would also allow private contributions to fund the Wall of Remembrance. The Wall will be built at no cost to the taxpayers.
