The lawfully ordered execution of Brandon Astor Jones for the 1979 murder of Roger Tackett was carried out this morning at 12:46 am at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center in Jackson, Georgia. The sentence was carried out after the United States Supreme Court denied Jones’ request for a stay of execution.
