WHITE COUNTY, Ga. —  The search for a man reported missing from the Mountain Lakes Resort, Rose Road/Alt. 75 area in a rural part of White County has apparently ended.

According to a post on the White County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page Wednesday afternoon, “White County  Sheriff’s Office regrets to announce that after a long and exhaustive multi-agency search the remains of a male subject believed to be Mr. Heath Williams has been recovered. While we must await official identification, we ask that you respect the privacy of the family during this difficult time.”

Georgia Emergency Management Agency Homeland Security, White County Sheriff’s Office, White County Public Safety and others were involved in the search.

No other information was immediately available.
