Wanted man and captured in Dawson County

PRESS RELEASE – On August 21, 2024, the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit and Crime Suppression Unit, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, apprehended Brione Russell (red shirt) on outstanding warrants.

Russell is wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Shreveport, Louisiana, from 2023, and has additional warrants from surrounding counties.

He and Kendrick Larkin (black shirt) were arrested while attempting to steal from a cell tower site in Dawson County.

In addition to the existing warrants, Russell now faces charges in Dawson County for Theft by Taking, Damaging/Interfering with Public Utilities, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

Larkin is charged with Obstruction of an Officer, Damaging/Interfering with Public Utilities, Theft by Taking, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.
