Toccoa Woman Arrested After Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Seizure

STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. — A Toccoa woman was arrested Tuesday night after deputies with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office reportedly discovered suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Big A Road.
According to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at approximately 9 p.m. on May 18, 2026, when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist traveling along Big A Road without functioning lights.
The bicyclist was identified as 50-year-old Loretta Allen of Toccoa.
Authorities said the deputy obtained consent to search Allen and her belongings during the stop. During the search, the deputy allegedly located a large clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.
Investigators said the suspected methamphetamine weighed approximately 14 grams.
Allen was arrested without incident and transported to the Stephens County Detention Center. She has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and remained in custody awaiting a bond hearing before a Stephens County magistrate court judge.
The investigation remains ongoing.
