Three Arrested, Two Sought in Burglary Investigation Near Fairmount
FAIRMOUNT, Ga. — Authorities have arrested three individuals and are seeking two more in connection with a series of residential burglaries reported earlier this month near Fairmount, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were dispatched on Dec. 8 to Slate Mine Road following reports of multiple residential burglaries in the area. Investigators said a surveillance camera captured images of a suspect vehicle leaving one of the scenes. Detectives collected the footage and issued a lookout alert to patrol deputies.
On Dec. 9, a deputy on patrol spotted the suspect vehicle traveling on Arnold Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Brandon E. McClure, 30, of Adairsville. McClure was arrested and charged with two counts of residential burglary, two counts of felony theft, and possession of methamphetamine.

The investigation continued over the following days, leading to additional arrests. On Dec. 10, deputies arrested Chris Collum, 37, of Rydal, charging him with receiving stolen property. On Dec. 11, Jacob E. Walters, 34, of White, was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft.

Authorities said Collum has since been released on bond, while McClure and Walters remain in jail.
Deputies are also seeking two additional suspects in connection with the burglaries: Brandon Lee Spires, 34, and Chelsea Guffey, 29, both of Bartow County. They are wanted on charges of burglary and theft. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is encouraged to contact law enforcement.
All individuals charged or sought in the investigation are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
