Suspect Found Dead Following Law Enforcement Response in Pickens County

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. — A suspect connected to a child molestation investigation was found deceased Thursday afternoon after law enforcement responded to a residence in Pickens County.

According to officials, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a home off Beaver Ridge Road at approximately 12:30 p.m. to execute an arrest warrant related to the investigation.

While deputies were knocking on the door, authorities reported hearing a single gunshot from inside the residence.
