HART COUNTY, Ga. — A search warrant executed at a Hart County residence led to two arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine and drug-related evidence, according to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and investigators with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Oak Park Lane at approximately 10:27 a.m. on July 23. The warrant was obtained following complaints of suspected drug activity and as part of the agency’s proactive enforcement efforts.
During the search, investigators recovered approximately 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, and other drug-related paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Andrew Douglas Tester was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute.
Melanie Evans was also arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt to Possess Methamphetamine and Criminal Attempt to Possess Marijuana.
According to investigators, Evans was also found to have an active parole warrant after allegedly leaving a court-approved treatment facility related to a previous case.
Sheriff Chris Carroll said the Hart County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to aggressively investigating illegal drug activity and thanked community members for providing information that assists law enforcement.
