RABUN COUNTY, Ga. — A Tiger man is facing multiple felony charges after Rabun County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant at a campsite on Lake Rabun Road, where investigators say they discovered suspected illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and nearly $12,000 in cash.

According to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served the search warrant on June 30 as part of an active investigation. Tracy Phillips, 50, of Tiger, was taken into custody without incident as deputies arrived at the campground.

During the search, investigators reported finding suspected methamphetamine, a large quantity of suspected hydrocodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and hypodermic needles. Deputies also seized $11,930 in U.S. currency.

Phillips has been charged with trafficking a Schedule II narcotic, possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects, and violation of a family violence order.

Sheriff Mark Gerrells praised the deputies involved in the investigation, saying he was proud of the professionalism displayed throughout the operation.

“The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting our communities, enforcing the law, and holding offenders accountable,” Gerrells said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
