PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – On Sept. 8 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Pickens County Fire along with Jasper Fire were dispatched to a structure fire on Trippe Trail.

The initial report was that an outbuilding was on fire with possibly a person inside.

First arriving Jasper units found a fully involved outbuilding already collapsing. It was finally confirmed that the reported person inside had left the property safely.

Fire was contained to the outbuilding. Fire was completely extinguished with a couple of minor injuries to fire personnel.

Responding units were Jasper Fire Engine-2, Rescue 1, 100, 101, Pickens Fire Engine-11 Rescue 11, Rescue 5, Battalion-11, 1101, Fire Marshal and Bethany Salem Rehab-8.
