Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an 11-year-old boy

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. – Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the GBI are investigating a shooting death of Zander Whatley, 11 years old of Douglasville, GA.

On Monday night, April 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00pm, deputies with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Ruth Way in reference to multiple shots being fired at a house.

Zander Whatley was inside of his residence when he was struck by a bullet.

Zander was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and GBI are seeking any information from the public concerning this incident.
