Below are the NCHSAA 2021-2022 playoff brackets for baseball and softball.

BASEBALL BRACKET

Murphy and Swain County were co-champions of the Smoky Mountain Conference, but Swain County won the coin toss and ended up with the #4 seed in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. Winning the coin toss was huge for the Maroon Devils, as Swain will get to host a familiar foe in  (#29) Hiwassee Dam for their first-round playoff matchup. Murphy ended up with the #10 seed in this year’s playoffs, earning them the right to host (#23) Eastern Randolph on Tuesday. Hayesville was the final team in the SMC to earn a first-round home game, as the #13 seeded Jackets will host #20 South Stanly.

SOFTBALL BRACKET

All of our Smoky Mountain Conference softball teams advanced to the first round of the NCHSAA 1A State Playoffs. (#32) Andrews, (#25) Swain, (#28) Hayesville, (#21) Murphy and (#20) Cherokee will all be on the road in the first round, while (#14) Hiwassee Dam and (#3) Robbinsville earn a first round home game.
