Man pleas guilty to 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children, nearly a year after being arrested

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – During a Sept. 25 court hearing, Joe Delores Lucero III, 33, pleaded guilty to rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, two counts of child molestation, sexual battery of a child under 16, and 14 counts of sexual exploitation of children, according to a filing in Dawson County Superior Court.
Lucero was originally arrested on Dec. 10, 2022. An indictment was filed in March of this year accusing him of committing the crimes against a child and filming it.
Lucero was sentenced to a total of life plus 50 years, with the first life plus 50 years to be served in confinement and the rest to be served on probation, court documents showed.
