PRESS RELEASE – On Monday, August 26, 2024, at approximately 9:00pm, a White County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Highway 115 West near Long Mountain Road for an obstructed tag and window tint.

During the traffic stop, K-9 Jelly was deployed and conducted an open-air sniff.

As a result, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. The search yielded the following:

– 30 ounces of Methamphetamine (1.88 pounds)

– William Ausbrooks, 59, of Stone Mountain, GA was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine.
