PEACHTREE CITY — A fast moving storm system may bring scattered light precipitation this afternoon and evening over parts of northeast Georgia. As very cold air moves in behind the system, some of the precipitation may mix with or change to light snow this afternoon.
At this time, any snow accumulations are expected to be very light, less than a quarter of an inch.
Behind the storm system, very cold temperatures will move into north Georgia. The combination of 10 to 15 degree temperatures and wind gusts up to 30 to 35 mph will result in wind chill values from 5 above zero to 10 below zero. A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for portions of north Georgia.
Use caution and dress appropriately if you plan to be outdoors tonight and Saturday morning. Prolonged exposure may lead to frostbite or hypothermia.
