HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. — A Haralson County man has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole plus an additional 50 years after being convicted of rape, incest, and child molestation, according to the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office.
The sentence for Tyrone Daniel was issued on December 2, 2025, following his conviction by a jury in September.
Authorities say the case originated in 2021, when Sgt. Jason Bowman of the Criminal Investigative Division was contacted about a possible sexual assault involving a juvenile who had been taken to a hospital. Sgt. Bowman conducted an investigation, and Daniel was arrested shortly afterward.
Chief Assistant District Attorney Robert Peterkin and Assistant District Attorney Jason Jones prosecuted the case, which resulted in a guilty verdict earlier this year.
Sheriff Stacy Williams praised both the investigators and prosecutors for their persistence and commitment throughout the multi-year case.
“I appreciate the effort put into the trial, conviction and sentencing by Chief Assistant District Attorney Robert Peterkin and Assistant District Attorney Jason Jones,” Williams said. “I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of Sgt. Jason Bowman, who worked on this case diligently. Our goal is to protect children, and if a child is harmed, our next goal is to get justice for them. I hope that this sentence brings some measure of justice for this brave young victim.”
Daniel has been transferred to state custody to begin serving his sentence.
