PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading a death investigation after a deceased individual was discovered at a residence in Pickens County on Tuesday.

According to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12 p.m. Tuesday to the 700 block of Hobson Drive following a report of an unknown trouble call.

When deputies arrived, they located a deceased individual at the residence. The sheriff’s office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is leading the investigation into the death.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased or any information regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional information has been released.
