Four Arrested Following Rabun County Drug Investigation, Authorities Seize Suspected GHB

RABUN COUNTY, Ga. — Four individuals have been arrested following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking activity in Rabun County, according to Sheriff Mark Gerrells.

Sheriff Gerrells said the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office began investigating reports between August and December 2025 regarding individuals suspected of selling methamphetamine and Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), a Schedule I controlled substance commonly referred to as “Liquid Ecstasy” or “G.”

As part of the investigation, authorities conducted two separate traffic stops that led to the seizure of what officials described as significant quantities of suspected GHB and multiple arrests.

During the first traffic stop, deputies arrested Alvin Michael Watkins, 53, of Lakemont, and Staci Dale Hilburn, 41, of Clayton. Authorities reported seizing approximately 2.2 pounds of suspected GHB during that stop. The weight has been described as unofficial pending further testing.

A second traffic stop resulted in the arrests of Christopher Collin Lee, 35, of Clayton, and Kimberly Luann Andrews, 40, of Clayton. During that stop, investigators seized approximately 3.9 pounds of suspected GHB, according to the sheriff’s office.

All four individuals have been charged with trafficking a Schedule I controlled substance. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not released additional details.

Sheriff Gerrells stated the agency will continue efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the county.

“I want to be clear that drug trafficking will not be tolerated in Rabun County,” Gerrells said. “My office will continue to aggressively investigate and pursue those who bring illegal and dangerous drugs into our community.”

The sheriff also encouraged residents with information related to illegal drug activity to contact the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.

All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
