Former Rabun County Schools Employee Arrested in Investigation Involving Inappropriate Contact Allegation

RABUN COUNTY, Ga. – A former Rabun County Schools employee was taken into custody following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate contact with a minor, according to a statement from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Daniel Guevara, previously employed in a non-instructional support role, was arrested on November 14, 2025. The sheriff’s office said the allegations were treated with “immediate seriousness” once they were reported.

Rabun County Schools notified law enforcement as soon as concerns surfaced, according to the release. School officials terminated Guevara’s employment, issued a criminal trespass notice, and cooperated fully with investigators. The sheriff’s office said the school district’s prompt actions were instrumental in maintaining student safety during the investigation.

Based on the information currently available, investigators said there is no indication of an ongoing or immediate threat to other students.
